Exquisite diamond necklace - Probably Russia, E. 19th century - With double carré links with small volute hearts and claw-set diamond pendants, richly set with a total of 400 old-cut diamonds and roses weighing ca. 14.45 ct, two box clasps. Silver, rose gold 14 ct. Not dissolved hallmarks. L. 40 cm. - Restored in 2005 and therefore in perfect condition. - Prov.: According to the heiress, the necklace has been in the family for approx. 100 years and comes from Russia. It was one of the few pieces of jewelry that the family was able to save during their escape from St. Petersburg in 1917.
