Pewter tankard - Johann Friedrich Seybold, Dresden, 18th century - Cylindrical body with strap handle on a flared foot, lid with ball finial, the wall engraved with a carriage drawn by a horseman with a bride and the inscription "Gottes Güte und Gnad ist der beste Haussrath". The inside of the lid with triple hallmarks. H. 23 cm. - Cf. Hintze: Saxon Pewter, no. 385.

Ernst Hasse, attr., "Das heranziehende Gewitter" Hilly and partly wooded landscape with all kinds of everyday scenes such as girls driving geese and farmers bringing in hay, pencil on paper, mid 19th cent, inscribed on the reverse "Das heranziehende Gewitter/Ernst Hasse fec.", further unfinished drawing on the reverse, folding line in the centre, tape showing through in the margins and remnants of old mounting, somewhat unfresh, sheet dimensions approx. 44 x 63 cm.
