Künstlerinfo: also Freytag or Freytag-Koeppen, German painter (1883 Heisingen - 1969 Munich), studied at the Berlin Academy, further artistic training in Düsseldorf and Munich, influenced by the Düsseldorf marine painter Johann Dietrich "Jean" Hendrichs (1882-1937), resident in Munich from ca. 1912, during the 1st World War in Upper Bavaria. During the First World War he lived in Upper Bavaria, where he had friendly contact with the landscape and hunting painter Josef Schmitzberger, undertook study trips to Holland, Friesland, Tyrol and Switzerland, member of the Munich artists' association "Der Bund" and the Reichsverband Bildender Künstler Deutschlands, exhibited at the Munich Glaspalast and the Great German Art Exhibition at the Haus der Deutschen Kunst in Munich, source: Vollmer, Saur "Bio-Bibliographisches Künstlerlexikon", Dressler, Bruckmann "Münchner Maler des 19./20. Jh." and "Lexikon der Düsseldorfer Malerschule" as well as Wikipedia.
