Fischer/(1)843" lower left, somewhat browned and waterstained, framed behind glass, folded dimensions approx. 30 x 21.5 cm. Artist information: actually Louis François Poisson, Marquis de Marigny, French-Dutch painter, ivory carver, sculptor and lithographer (1784 Paris - 1845 Schwerin), 1806-07 officer in the French army, subsequently settled in Goldberg/Mecklenburg as a drawing teacher and painter and Germanised his name, 1811 moved to Güstrow and 1815 moved to Schwerin, 1824 studied in Dresden, 1834 took part in the Academy exhibition in Berlin, source: Thieme-Becker.
