Meissen two figures Sicilian shepherd's chapel "Mädchen mit Drehleier "and "Querflötenspieler "from a series, designed by Paul Börner 1925/26, underglaze blue sword marks Pfeiffer period 1924-1934, 1st choice, incised model numbers A1104 and A1107, modelling number 144 and 42, girl additionally with painter's number 12. and embossed monogram ETB, naturalistic moulding with subtle overglaze painting in shades of orange and brown, each on a shell-like oval base, kneeling boy as a nude with drapery playing the flute and kneeling girl in a pleated dress singing and playing the lyre, rare pair of figures, girl with old glued break line through the upper body and minor chips, otherwise good condition, h 24 and 25 cm.
