Still life with bird's nest - Circa 1820/30 - Fruit such as melons, grapes and peaches piled in front of a tree trunk in a vaulted cellar with numerous insects, a small bird's nest with two eggs at the bottom, a songbird flying above the scene. Oil/wood, parquetted. Monogrammed (Cyrillic?) lower right. 80 x 60 cm. - Copy after Jan Davidsz de Heem (Utrecht 1606-1684 Antwerp), only without the dead bird lower right.
