CAPRON Roger (1922-2006) - White glazed earthenware plate decorated with yellow, blue and brown rotating friezes. Signed "Capron Vallauris" under the base. Circa 1955. Diameter: 21 cm. After studying at the École des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Roger Capron moved to Vallauris in the immediate post-war period. There, he set up the Callis workshop with his friends Robert Picault and Jean Derval, before opening his own studio in 1948.
