With handwritten corrections, suggesting that this document is a printing before corrections. This is a memoir defending Carhaix's candidacy to become the capital of the newly-created Finistère department, rather than Landerneau or Quimper... It is signed by all the municipal officers and notables of Carhaix. With KERAMPUIL (Henry de): Mémoire pour la ville de Carhaix. Morlaix, Lédan, March 15, 1818. One fascicle. 21 by 27.5 cm. 22 pages on bluish paper. The mayor of Carhaix, Henry de Kerampuil, defends his town for the status of sous-préfecture, then located in Châteaulin. Two rare documents A few old documents bound in Carhaix are enclosed, including a copy of a 1680 deed made in pluviose an 9 (February 1801).
