Description

Late nineteenth-century Chinese Export crackle glazed porcelain vase on spreading foot with high neck and flared lip. The vase has an old inventory number on the bottom. Provenance: Private collection in Pennsylvania. Dimensions: H: 12 3/4 in., (32.5 cm.) There is an old repair on the back of the vase. The crack was caused by the heat while the vase was produced.

Pair of nineteenth-century Chinese vases, belonging to the Qing Dynasty. They are made of hand-painted ceramics with the representation of genre scenes. Courtesan ladies (in one of them) and peasant women (in the other) stroll through bucolic landscapes. With an elongated belly, the wide neck ends in a flared mouth. They have two openwork handles and calligraphic lines.
