In stainless steel with aluminum footrest and seat in iron sheet upholstered in burgundy leather. Designed in 1984, it is part of the "Muebles Sensuales" collection, becoming the undisputed star of the entire collection. Transatlàntic was a Spanish design group, founded by graphic artist Lluís Morillas and industrial designers Ramon Benedito and Josep Puig. It was in production through Akaba S.A. from 1986 to 1988. The Frenesí stools were used in several episodes of STAR TREK and in The Next Generation series. The model was exhibited in 1985 at the Worldesign (Washington) and Europalia (Brussels) shows, and in 1987 at Design- Auswahl (Stuttgart), at the XIX International Biennial (São Paulo). It was also part of the retrospective exhibition on the Delta Awards held in Room 3 of the Robert Palace in Barcelona between October 7, 2010 and June 26, 2011. In 1994 the company Akaba, SA sold a vintage copy to the Museum of Decorative Arts in Barcelona, which is currently exhibited in its permanent collection at the Palau de Pedralbes, and in 2010 another one entered the collections of the Victorian & Albert Museum in London.
