AN IRON-RED ‘CRASHING WAVES AND SWASTIKA’ PORCELAIN BOWL, GUANGXU MARK AND PERIOD AN IRON-RED ‘CRASHING WAVES AND SWASTIKA’ PORCELAIN BOWL, GUANGXU MARK AND PERIOD China, 1875-1908 or a bit later. The bowl finely potted with deep walls supported on a straight foot, the exterior painted in iron-red and gilt with crashing waves and rocks encircling the foot, a row of swastika symbols tied to ribbons floating above. The recessed foot with a cobalt-blue six-character Guangxu mark and probably of the period. Provenance: German private collection. Condition: Very good condition with minor wear and a thin hairline to one side. Weight: 133 g Dimensions: Diameter 11 cm
