The illustration consists of 73 lithographed and numbered plates (some with several subjects), representing geographical maps, some colored (general map of Peru, mineralogical map, maps of departments and provinces), city plans and port anchorages (Lima, Trujillo, Cuzco, Arequipa, Callao), views (Lima, large fold-out panorama of Arequipa), Peruvian costumes and geological plates. Several plates have been lithographed from photographs taken by Garreaud and Helsby. A good copy. Binding very worn, small wetness in margins of first few text leaves.
