Olivier RAAB (1955 - ) School (20th) "Barrel in a room". Mixed-media watercolor gouache on paper under glass. Signed lower right. 68 x 47 cm on view. Aluminum rod frame (minor scratches from use). Frame dimensions 91 x 70.5 cm. Olivier RAAB was born in France in 1955. His works have been sold at public auction 21 times, mostly in the Estampe-Multiple category. Herbert Hauschild, mixed lot of drawings consisting of seven watercolours/watercolour ink drawings, three partly washed ink drawings, depicting people, landscapes, houses and animals, mostly dated in the period 1946-61 and often monogrammed "H", partly on both sides, sheet size max. approx. 30 x 37 cm and a woodcut depicting the interior of a Gothic church, signed "Herbert Haustein" in pencil below the depiction on the right and dated "1915" on the left, as well as a copperplate engraving "Theresie Voltz", dated "1924", eleven sheets with estate stamp. Artist information: German painter and graphic artist (1889 Stolpen - 1968 Leipzig), 1910-15 studied art at the University of Leipzig, 1911-15 studied at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig, 1915 graduated with a doctorate, 1916-19 medical corpsman in the First World War, 1920-36 teacher at the printing school in Leipzig, 1943-46 lecturer in art history at the Academy of Visual Arts, 1948-65 he ran a private art training centre, also lecturer at the Protestant Academy in Wittenberg, member of the Reich Chamber of Fine Artists, source: Schriften aus dem Nachlass and Dressler.

BELTZ (Robert) & HOFFMANN (Ernst Theodor Amadeus). Contes fantastiques. Souffelweyersheim, at the artist's expense, 1968. Large in-4 ff. printed cover in publisher's blue-green cloth slipcase. Illustrations by Robert Beltz woodcut by Gilbert Poilliot on the frontispiece and in the text. Edition of 299 copies; a nominative copy printed for Mr. and Mrs. F. Monnier, on Lana pur fil vellum with a suite of 52 color illustrations and a decomposition of the frontispiece. A very good copy.

Silkscreen print exhibited at the exhibition: 100 ans d'estampes et de multiples, in 2020, in Neufchâtel, Switzerland.
