The printing business was soon joined by the book trade and especially the publishing business, in which we often see him associated with the great publisher Jean Petit." Of particular note are: the work of Columella, which constitutes the most important treatise on agronomy in the whole of antiquity, where not only agriculture but more generally the agricultural sciences are discussed; The work of Palladius, the last exponent of classical Romanism.
