Comprising a circular panel, carved in openwork with a figural scene, depicting a scholar and two court ladies in a pavilion, framed by courtiers and warriors on horses, all in dynamic positions; covered in red lacquer and gilt. The larger rectangular panel depicting a rocky landscape with pavilions surmounted by equestrians, warriors, and scholars, covered in red lacquer and gilt. Provenance: Austrian private collection. The smaller circular panel with a collector’s number ‘31257-5’. Condition: Good condition with some wear, minor losses, few natural age cracks, and rubbing to the gilt. Weight: 2,653 g and 490 g Dimensions: Size 80.8 x 30.2 cm and Diameter 22.3 cm
