19th century FRENCH SCHOOL Architectural project for the Faculty of Science in Buenos Aires. Pen and black ink, watercolor over black pencil lines. Monogrammed MA upper right. Titled on the motif. Heavy staining and spotting at top. 94 x 64.5 cm A plan for the same building is included. Gino Aloisi won the competition for the redevelopment of the Faculty of Medicine in Buenos Aires in 1885, and the building was inaugurated five years later. The work was carried out by Paolo Besana. He extended and continued the work of Francesco Tamburini, the building's first architect.
