Description
Venus de'Medici in white Carrara marble, 19th century. h. cm. 82. From Antonio Canova's sculpture that the artist made to replace the original Cleomenes of Apollodorus in the Tribuna degli Uffizi in Florence, which was taken to Paris in 1803 following the Napoleonic spoliations and returned to its original location with the Restoration of 1815. The little finger of the left hand missing.
