[LOUIS XV]. Collection of odes to King Louis XV. , 1744-1745. In-4 marbled fawn calf, ornate ribbed spine, burgundy morocco t.p., gilt fillets framing the boards, red tr. (imitation period binding). Exceptional collection of 69 pieces relating to King Louis XV's convalescence in Metz (August-September 1744), his return to Paris and the battle of Fontenoy (May 1745), some of which are unknown to bibliographers. Numerous engraved bands and initials. Very fine pastiche binding. Minor foxing or light spotting in a few places. A good copy. (Parts list available on request.)
