Steve Wozniak (2) Early Personal and 'Apple' Business Cards Scarce pairing of early calling cards for Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak: Circa 1983 Apple Computer business card, 3.5 x 2, listing him as "Steve Wozniak, Principal Engineer." The off-white card features the iconic 'rainbow' version of the Apple 'byte' logo, and lists the company's address at "5300 Stevens Creek Blvd., Suite 500, San Jose, California 95129." Wozniak’s personal calling card from the mid-to-late 1980s, 3.5 x 2, with printed name, “Steve (Woz) Wozniak,” address, “21435 Summit Road, Los Gatos, CA 95030,” and telephone number, “(408) 353-3333,” with an engraved image of Wozniak’s former Redwood Ridge estate nestled at the summit of the Santa Cruz Mountains. In overall fine condition, with expected wear and soiling from use. Per Woz himself: ‘Those cards were from the very start of Apple. The personal card was for my home on the summit and I was very proud of the phone number 353-3333 because, at that time, you could not get all 7 digits the same in the 408 area code. They didn’t allow the same numbers in the 408 area code (San Jose) and 415 area code (San Francisco) and the 415 area code had them all, 222-2222, 333-3333, etc.’

ENRIC PLANASDURÁ (Barcelona, 1921 - 1984). Untitled, 1956. Oil on canvas. Signed and dated in the upper right corner. Measurements: 100 x 72 cm; 110 x 82 cm (frame). Enrique Planas Durá, known as "Planasdurá" was one of the pioneers of abstract painting in Catalonia. He was a multifaceted and versatile artist, capable of working in painting, engraving, mural, stained glass, theatrical scenography, sculpture and other techniques. He belonged to artistic groups such as Lays del Círculo de Sant Lluc, with whom he signed the "Black Manifesto" in 1949, and the Ada group. Planasdurá made his individual debut in the Alfa Galleries in Barcelona in 1943, with a work of expressionist accent. However, he would later define himself within a geometric abstraction of strong chromatic intensity. He worked with polygonal shapes of flat colors, delimited by straight black lines. Less rigid than Mondrian and softer than the kinetics, his art has a clear spatial dimension that provides a certain sense of depth to the flat forms he employs, as in the piece we present. In 1974 he was awarded the City of Barcelona Prize. Planasdurà is represented in the Paul Klee Museum in Bern, the National Museum of Fine Arts in Taipei, the MACBA in Barcelona, the Patio Herreriano in Valladolid and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Madrid.

JOSE MONTENEGRO CAPELL (Cadiz, 1865 - Jerez de la Frontera, Cadiz, 1929). "View of the Giralda from the courtyard of the orange trees", 1890. Oil on canvas. It has a frame of the nineteenth century with faults. Signed and dated in the lower right corner. Measurements: 72.5 x 51 cm; 98.5 x 77 cm (frame). Jose Montenegro was born in Cadiz, being a mystery his formation, the contacts maintained with other artists or the exact year in which he arrived to Jerez. His life is surrounded by a halo of legend, and in fact the people have invented a thousand stories around his figure, considering him a new Velázquez. He focused his production on the Andalusian costumbrista landscape, with special attention to the Hispano-Muslim architectures, taking his models mainly from Cadiz, Jerez and Seville. His style shows a certain influence of the so-called School of Rome, although with a marked regionalist accent. Montenegro arrived in Jerez attracted by the work possibilities that were open to him in a prosperous place full of bourgeoisie enriched by the wine trade. However, he would soon become a true exponent of local bohemia at the beginning of the 20th century. Eternally drunk and dressed in black, he sold paintings at very low prices in order to buy alcohol and some food. He finally died in the Santa Isabel Hospital in Cadiz in 1929, due to a liver problem. Montenegro is currently represented in numerous private collections, mainly in Jerez de la Frontera, where he is still highly appreciated today. It has a 19th century frame with faults.
