SPLENDID PAIR OF CONSOLES, CENTRAL ITALY EIGHTEENTH CENTURY of probable Church State manufacture, in white lacquered wood and gold. Top lacquered in faux green marble, front carved and pierced in double scrollwork with flowers, plant motifs and roccailles. This motif is repeated on the sides. Opposite double scroll legs with pod carvings and goat feet in green lacquer. Cross with leaf motifs and pinnacle. Measurements 91 x 117 x 57 cm. Provenance Roman family Condition report One corner of the top with cracks, felting, color falls, no remakes noted
