A ‘REPUBLIC OF CHINA’ METAL ALLOY SEAL, REPUBLIC PERIOD A ‘REPUBLIC OF CHINA’ METAL ALLOY SEAL, REPUBLIC PERIOD China, 1912-1949. The rectangular seal surmounted by a Buddhist lion and its cub, the sides of the seal flanked by two chilong, and impressed with calligraphy to the front. Inscriptions: To the front ‘Republic of China, 1913 (Minguo er nian)’. The base inscribed ‘Neifujian zhi’ Provenance: Austrian private collection. Condition: Very good condition with minor wear, few tiny nicks, and casting flaws. Weight: 127.2 g Dimensions: Height 6.1 cm
