Ushebti overseer of the High Priest "Ramses Nocturnal". Ancient Egypt, New Kingdom, dynasty XX, 1189-1077 BC. Earthenware. Good condition. With small hole on the reverse, surface rubbed in some parts. Provenance: Ex K.R. collection, Rhineland-Palatinate. In Germany since before 1992. Invoiced by Roswitha Eberwein, Göttingen, 1992; Auction, December 2022, Germany. Measurements: 12.8 cm. She wears a three-piece wig and kilt, arms crossed in front of the chest. The ushebti wears a "wesekh" necklace on the chest, the hoe and seed basket are missing. The vertical hieroglyphic inscription names the "Night of Ramses". Ramses Night was a former Egyptian high priest of Amun under Ramses IV to Ramses IX. He was the son of the chief administrator Meribastet I and successor of Usermaatrenacht, who may have been the brother of Ramesesnacht.
