A GROUP OF TWO SHIBUICHI NANAKO KOZUKA A GROUP OF TWO SHIBUICHI NANAKO KOZUKA Japan, Edo period (1615-1868) Of rectangular form, one chiselled and inlaid in high relief with gold details on a nanako ground, depicting a courtly gathering with a figure crossing a bridge; the other chiselled and inlaid in high relief with gold details, depicting a courtly male figure watching birds from the seashore, on a nanako ground. LENGTH 9.3 cm and 9.7 cm WEIGHT 20.9 g and 26.9 g Condition: Good condition with some wear. The second with few losses to the gold details and small abrasions. Provenance: British trade.
