Julius Ehrhart, diptych "Turtle" Picture of a swimming turtle in yellow surroundings, expressive collage and mixed technique in two parts, each canvas on stretcher, partially backed with wood, Canvas cut out and attached to the wood with nails and staples, wood partially carved and overall coloured in oil paint, around 2000, signed lower right "Julius Ehrhart", traces of age, dimensions together 108 x 200 cm, individually 108 x 100 cm each. Artist information: actually Julius Paul Ehrhart, German philosopher, painter. Philosopher, painter, book and object artist, graphic artist and art therapist (born 1960 in Gräfelfing), 1977 guest student with Gerd Winner at the Munich Academy, 1981 Abitur, student at the Haidhausen painting school and the Seeger drawing school, studied philosophy at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich, from 1983 studied painting at the Munich Academy with Günther Voglsamer and Oskar Koller, 1985 participant in the Salzburg Summer Academy with Anton Lehmden, studied 1987-92 at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in the master class of Friedensreich Hundertwasser, parallel philosophy seminars with Peter Sloterdijk, 1996-99 postgraduate studies in art therapy at the Munich Academy, then freelance, 2002-11 art therapist at the Munich-Harlaching Clinic, since 2007 parallel freelance employee of art therapy at the Munich-Schwabing Clinic, since 2014 art therapist at the KBO-Klinikum Haar, working in Munich, source: Homepage of the artist.
