[Manuscript] Ottoman Qur'an, probably circa 1880, over 400 pages handwritten in black ink and ink, book ruled, numerous glosses, some gilding to first few leaves. Re-used binding (?), full basane, spine completely rebound, spine ends weak.

[Manuscrit, Malacologie] Generic characteristics of mollusks. In-8, approx. 84p. Early 19th-century manuscript describing the various known mollusks. It describes the 178 genera classified into 4 orders. At the end is a table to refer to the figures in the Methodical Encyclopedia. This appears to be an extract from Denys de Montfort's Histoire naturelle des mollusques (1799), in which only the descriptions of mollusks are included, without the associated commentaries. Contemporary half-basane, spine largely missing, volume nevertheless solid. Beautiful, very neat manuscript, with no erasures.
