Date: c. 1840 Description: The present work shows a graphic in pencil on paper. It depicts a scene consisting of an adult in profile and a group of children. The adult, dressed in a tall hat and coat, stands in the foreground on the left, while the five children are positioned on the right. Their gaze appears to be focussed on the adult. The faces are emphasised with fine strokes, giving an impression of liveliness and a snapshot.
