Piranesi Del.Sc.". At the lower part inscribed in the printing plate: "Trépied de Sphinx en bronze, trouvé à Herculaneum". Date: 19th century Description: The picture presents a finely detailed drawing of an antique, decorative table frame with sphinxes as supporting elements. It is a classicist depiction that combines both ornamental and figurative motifs.
