Date: 1838 Description: View of the northern façade seen from the west towards the choir, with the busy street in front. The care taken in the depiction of the architectural details is particularly striking. The sheet was created on a journey that took the English architect, cartographer, archaeological writer, art collector, numismatist and literary translator William Barnard Clarke to France between 1838 and 1839 and later on to Italy in 1839.
