At the lower part inscribed in the printing plate: "Veduta della Porta di Pompei [...] In Napoli presso Nicola Gervasi di Piazza No 38". Date: 1806 Description: The engraving shows an idyllic landscape of ruins at the city gate of Pompeii. In the foreground is a seated figure next to a dog. Architectural fragments and trees surround her, while an openwork wall provides a view of further ruins.
