REINHART (1761-1847), Pallazzola und Roman Countryside, 1799, Etching Johann Christian Reinhart (1761 Hof/Bavaria - 1847 Rom): Pallazzola and Campagna Romana View of the hills near Rome, 1799, Etching Technique: Etching on Paper Inscription: lower left signed in the printing plate: "C. Reinhart fec.". At the lower part inscribed in the printing plate: "Pallazzola". lower left dated: "Romae 1792". At the lower part further inscription: "Ein Franciskaner Kloster zwischen dem Albaner See und am Monte Corso". Date: 1799 Description: The artwork depicts an idyllic landscape with detailed vegetation and mountain ranges in the background. A rocky outcrop with lush trees and a seated person can be recognised in the foreground. Probably a later print for the French-language edition of the "Malerisch radirte Prospekte von Italien".
