Description

Olympic Games/ Winter, 1960/ Squaw-Valley/ Official rooster. Enameled rooster of the French team. This rooster is even rarer than the one from St. Moritz, as it was only worn by 26 athletes. The three French medals, lost in the rooster's feathers, were won by Alpine skiers Jean Vuarnet (gold in the downhill with metal skis), Guy Périllat and Charles Bozon (bronze), who avoided a total rout... This little rooster reminds us of this episode. Rings, vintage on the perch of our national gallinaceous: Squaw-Valley, 1960. H. 2.5 cm
