Basalt carved Buddha head with a wooden pedestal in the style of Borobudur. Borobudur is a 9th-century Mahayana Buddhist temple and is the largest Buddhist temple in the world. It is located in Central Java, Indonesia. The building is decorated with 2,672 relief panels and originally had 504 Buddha statues. Of these 504 Buddha statues, around 300 are damaged (most headless), and the rest of the heads have fallen into private and public collections around the world.
