In-4 red morocco, boards decorated with a triple framing of 12 gilded fillets, a gilded grecque on a black marble listel and a garland of gilded sphynxes and palmettes with gilded stars at the corners, in the center a large black marble lozenge underlined by dotted lines and gilded fillets, with gilded title on the first board "La Place Vendôme", smooth spine richly decorated with the same decoration as the boards, gilded garland and fillet on the inside, green silk lining and endpapers, gilt edges (Gruel). Guest book commissioned by the Comité des commerces de luxe de la place Vendôme, rue de la Paix et leurs alentours, in 1936 from the illustrious bookbinder Gruel. One hundred leaves, dim. 30 x 24 cm. Only 8 pp. are filled with reminders of events from June 18, 1937 to June 20, 1946: Reception of the Anglo-American Press (June 18, 1937), Lunch on May 10, 1938 at the Ritz (including André Maurois signature), Gala dinner on January 16, 1939 in honor of A. Maurois presided over by G. Duhamel (with their 2 signatures), Dinner in honor of Finance Minister Paul Reynaud on July 12, 1939 (with his signature), Reception of M. Grover Wahlen on December 1, 1939 (with signatures), Déjeuner en l'honneur du général de Fornel de la Laurencie on December 13, 1940 (with his signature), Réception en l'honneur de la Libération de Paris on September 18, 1844 (with Colonel Howley's signature), Divertissement chorégraphique du 20 juin 1946. Superb condition for this luxuriously bound prestige document.

Apple iPhone 4 (4th Generation, Sealed - 8GB) Black Version Unopened original black Apple iPhone 4, Part No. MD128C/A (8GB), Serial No. DX6KF3T0DP0N. The front of the box shows an image of the device’s front screen and upper left shoulder, and the back features the device’s specifications. In brand new, factory-sealed condition, with some light dampstaining to box bottom, tiny scuffs and holes to plastic, and a couple of dinged corners. The successor to the third generation iPhone 3GS, the Apple iPhone 4 was unveiled on June 7, 2010, at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco, and released internationally on June 24th. The iPhone 4 featured a major design overhaul, introducing a sleek and modern look with a glass front and back and a stainless steel frame that doubled as an antenna. Touted by Steve Jobs as being the thinnest smartphone in the world, the 4 featured the game-changing ‘Retina Display,’ a high-resolution screen that offered a pixel density so high that individual pixels were hard to distinguish. The iPhone 4 had one of the longest lifespans of any iPhone ever produced, spanning close to four years. Per Jobs: ‘This is beyond the doubt, the most precise thing, and one of the most beautiful we've ever made. Glass on the front and back, and steel around the sides. It's like a beautiful old Leica camera.’

ARMANDO CARDONA TORRANDELL (Barcelona, 1928 - Sant Pere de Ribes, Barcelona, 1995). Untitled, 1957. Acrylic on board. Signed and dated on the back. Measurements: 38x 46 cm; 43 x 51 cm (frame). Cardona Torrandell began his training in the humanities, to later delve into painting. His work, plastic testimony of the current world, is characterized by variegated compositions, full of human faces, calligraphic elements and inscriptions, which define his personal iconography. He organized his work in cycles: "Retablos de la gente" (1956), "Barcas" (1956), "Máquinas" (1957), "Paisajes Concretos" (1960), "Universo concentracional" (1965), "Numancia" (1972), "Naufragios" (1979), etc. He also dedicated some tribute works to Sartre, Antonio Machado, Ungaretti and Lluís Companys. In 1965 he did the scenography for "Ronda de muerte a Sinera", by Espriu-Salvat, and the following year for "La buena persona de Sezuan", by Brecth. He also collaborated with the Sitges Theater Festival. He was associated with the Parpalló Group, and was part of Crónica de la Realidad and Intrarealismo. In 1971 he was awarded the Ynglada-Guillot drawing prize. Cardona Torrandell is currently represented in the Victor Balaguer Museum in Vilanova i la Geltrú, the Vila Casas Foundation, the Rafael Zabaleta Museum and other public and private collections.
