Vase. China, Qing dynasty, 19th-20th century. Hand-painted ceramic. Export sealing wax seal on the base. Measurements: 14 x 10 x 10 cm. Globular body vase with irregular green background on which is represented a herd of tigers. Flanking this central decoration three pink borders with yellow medallions. The tiger was for the Chinese culture the most perfect representation of the Mother Goddess, in her creative, nourishing and chthonic aspects.
