Avalokite?vara represents one of the noblest qualities of Mah?y?na Buddhism: universal and unconditional compassion. His image and his message of helping and active listening have inspired generations of Buddhists to cultivate a compassionate attitude towards all living beings, seeking to alleviate suffering in the world and promote peace and harmony.
