Spanish carpet of the first half of the twentieth century. Hand knotted wool. Needs restoration. It has small cuts. Measurements: 395 x 302 cm. Generously sized rug made of hand-knotted wool. It presents a maroon field with floral decoration presided by a central rosette ornamented with festoons and flanked by horns of abundance or cornucopias arranged in perfect symmetry. A vegetal fretwork based on garlands forms the first band of the border, followed by two more bands, the outer one organized with a combination of geometric forms and floral corollas, so that each of the latter is housed in a tesserae. Ocher, pink, brown and red tones dominate.
