Suporte: 69,5x48,5 cm. # Mário Silva nasceu em Coimbra em 1929. Frequentou a Faculdade de Engenharia que abandonou enquanto finalista. A sua carreira cultural e artística teve início em 1957. Foi cofundador do Círculo de Artes Plásticas da Sociedade de Ballet e da Secção de Jazz, Associação Académica de Coimbra e participou no II Colóquio Internacional de Arte, promovido pelo prof. Reys Santos, com a presença de René Huyghe. Dedicou-se à escultura, artes gráficas, cerâmica, arte pública e pintura, assim como à divulgação da arte, promovendo um diálogo permanente com as gerações mais jovens. Conta no seu currículo com inúmeras exposições individuais e colectivas por todo o mundo. Ganhou inúmeros prémios e medalhas, bem como diversas distinções académicas. Faleceu no mês de Setembro de 2016 na cidade de Coimbra.
