Moldura: 74x64 cm. # Manuel Cargaleiro (n. 1927), Castelo Branco. Em 1952 realizou a primeira exposição em Lisboa no SNI. Em 1954 recebe o Prémio Nacional de Cerâmica. Inicia funções de Professor de Cerâmica na Escola de Artes Decorativas António Arroio. Em 1957 recebe uma bolsa do Governo Italiano, por mérito do instituto de Alta Cultura que lhe permite visitar a Itália e estudar a técnica da Cerâmica em Faenza, Roma e Florença. Fixa a sua residência em Paris. Em 1982 recebeu a Ordem da Cruz de Santiago da Espada, no Dia de Portugal e em 1983 recebeu o Grau de Offider des Arts et des Lettres pelo Governo Francês. Tem realizado inúmeras exposições em Portugal e no estrangeiro. O seu trabalho versa essencialmente sobre a pintura, a cerâmica e a gravura mas integra também áreas como a tapeçaria.
