Regimental fez model 1879 of a soldier in the 4th Regiment of Indigenous Tirailleurs (later to become the 4th Regiment of Tunisian Tirailleurs), red wool felt without basane with stamp of the acceptance commission (illegible but clearly visible), brass insignia of the model authorized by Lieutenant-Colonel AUBERTIN on December 26, 1917, making it one of the very first regimental military insignia of the French army, traces of moth, headdress worn, France WWI era.
