The shallow charger painted in shades of green, blue, aubergine, yellow, and with iron-red accents, depicting a dignitary playing the qin on a boat floating above crashing waves, backed by a lush landscape with rockwork, and encircled by a diaper pattern band with floral cartouches below the upper rim. The back with a metal mount for hanging. Provenance: Austrian private collection. Condition: Very good condition with minor wear, light surface scratches, and firing flaws including pitting and dark spots. Weight: 2,859 g Dimensions: Diameter 40 cm

A LARGE FAMILLE VERTE PORCELAIN BRUSHPOT, QING DYNASTY (1644-1912) A LARGE FAMILLE VERTE PORCELAIN BRUSHPOT, QING DYNASTY (1644-1912) China, possibly 18th century or later, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). The bitong of cylindrical form, the exterior covered in underglaze blue save for three reserves delicately enameled in green, yellow, aubergine, and with iron-red. One squared-shaped reserve depicting a man on horseback in an outdoor setting, another is fan-shaped and comprises a bird perched on a flowering branch, and the last a circular reserve with bamboo and other flowers. The base with a circular unglazed section. Condition: Broken in several pieces and reglued. Presenting well. Provenance: Holzapfel collection, Geneva, Switzerland. This lot was acquired by second generation members of the Holzapfel family after 1970 and has remained in the family ever since. Weight: 1,698 g Dimensions: Height 13.5 cm, diameter 17.5 cm
