Silk challah cover published by Yosef Schwartz and Son, New York, early 20th century. In the center of the cover is a 7-branched menorah, above it an inscription “For Shabbat and Yom Tov.” On the two sides are the blessings for the lighting of the candles, and other Yiddish inscriptions. Underneath is the piyyut Bar Yochai. In addition appear: the piyyut Shalom Aleichem, and the nussach of the Kiddush for Shabbat and Yom Tov. In the four corners and in the lower center are illustrations of the holy places in Eretz Israel. Dimensions: 44X52 cm. Minor stains.
