VIETNAM Ceremonial outfit for a Cham dignitary's wife, including tunic, sarong and turban (good condition). The wide white cotton tunic with low open collar is baju kurung, without vertical slits on the sides (94 x 72 folded sleeves); the sarong of the same fabric is not sewn, it is adorned on the bottom with an extra weft woven band and white bangs (182 x 84 - label glued on in Cham syllabics); matching turban. Cham Ahiar/Bani population, Ninh Thuan, Phang Rang, Thon My Nghiep village, South Vietnam coast. N° 747

VIETNAM Muslim dignitary wife's ensemble consisting of a tunic blouse, a sarong, a turban and a pair of earrings. The purple satin blouse has an open "v" collar (110 x 75 with folded sleeves), the large turban has a woven border on the edges, long bangs (180 x 90); silver-plated earrings, filigree geometric decoration and large pendants made of red-orange cotton braids (they are mounted on a cardboard box with a descriptive text in Cham syllabics). The aban wang ta-un type sarong, unstitched, made of mixed fabric with multicolored horizontal stripes (chemical dye strass style), brocaded and adorned with a predominantly red woven band on the lower and upper edges (92 x 62); small cotton turban (red).
