Émile Jean Joseph Gaudissart (1872-1956) The Parthenon in Greece 1906 Oil on canvas signed and dated lower right 65.5 x 50 cm Condition report: Damaged and missing Born in Algeria, he arrived in Paris in 1891, and won several awards at the Salons and the Exposition Universelle of 1900. In 1904, Gaudissart was awarded a travel grant to Greece. His works are kept in museums, including the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Algiers and the Musée d'Orsay in Paris.
