In-8 glazed havana calf, ornate ribbed spine, burgundy morocco t.p., triple gilt fillet framing the boards, gilt edges (period binding). Small tear to upper headband. Cut and missing on one endpaper. Frontispiece and [2] ff. 174 pp. Collection of 38 circumstantial pieces and poems, compiled by bookseller Michel-Antoine David dit David l'aîné, on the victories won by Louis XV dit le Bien-Aimé during the battles of the War of the Austrian Succession (Courtrai, Menin, Fontenoy, Gand). The collection is illustrated with an allegorical frontispiece drawn and engraved by Nicolas Cochin and 2 copper-engraved vignettes.
