Illustrated with numerous engraved figures in the text, 10 engraved plates out of the text, and 2 etchings out of the text. A good copy. Slight spotting, spine faded.

The islands and shores of the Mediterranean containing Sicily and the Barbary coast, etc. London, Fisher & Cie, sd [1840]. 2 vols. large in-4, blue percaline, spines and boards richly decorated with gilded decorations, gilt tr. The illustrations include a title-frontispiece with a fine vignette, a large folded map and 63 hors-texte plates, all engraved on steel. A very fine copy, preserved here in its publisher's binding, in excellent condition and virtually free of foxing (only minor spotting in the margin of one plate).
