"Wellenspiel Relief" with matching curved rim, accentuating decoration of holly leaves and berries close to the rim in fine polychrome onglaze painting, gold decoration and gold rim, consisting of teapot, cream jug, sugar bowl and two teacups with saucers, with candlestick and complete demitasse cup with partial relief decoration and partially gilded saucer and "Holly" bell, in original gift box, gilding to the saucer minimally rubbed near the mirror and candlestick with wax residue, otherwise good condition, h jug 16 cm, h cup complete 6.5 cm each, h bell 4.5 cm.

Published in full for the first time by MM Soulié, Dussieux, de Chennevières, Mantz, de Montaiglon, with unpublished additions by the Duc de Saint-Simon published by M. Feuillet de Conches. Paris, Firmin Didot Frères, 1854-1860. 19 volumes in 10 vol. in-8, extensive index (all of T. XIX), burgundy half-basin, smooth spines decorated with triple gilt fillets (contemporary binding). Spines faded, spines and headpieces a little rubbed (more pronounced in some cases), minor scuffing to some spines, otherwise a good copy. An essential source for the history of the late 17th and early 18th centuries.
