ÖRNI HALLOWEEN; ERNESTO GISMONDI (Italy, 1931) for Artemide. Minosse suspension lamp. Metal lacquered white on the inside and red on the outside. Suspension system that allows to orient it in different directions. Excellent condition, without previous use. Measurements: 20 x 80 x 80 cm. Örni Halloween is the pseudonym used by Ernesto Gismondi from 1974 to the mid-1990s to sign his first lamp and furniture projects for Artemide, preferring to keep his own figure of entrepreneur separate from that of designer, in order to simultaneously develop these two activities and be able to express himself freely in his designs. Italian engineer and industrial designer Ernesto Gismondi studied aeronautical and aerospace sciences in Milan and Rome, and after graduating in 1959 he founded the firm Artemide, specializing in the production of lighting pieces together with Sergio Mazza. From 1970 onwards Gismondi designed numerous lamps published by Artemide, such as the "Tholos" (1979), the "Zen" (1988) and the "Tebe". He was also actively involved in Italian progressive design trends, sponsoring and chairing the Memphis group and serving as vice-president of the ADI (Association of Intrustial Design). He is also a member of the Council of the Milan Triennale, among other positions and functions related to various aspects of design. His work is currently represented in various museums dedicated to industrial design.
