Date: c. 1900 Description: Sketchy depiction of St Francis of Assisi (c. 1181 Assisi - 1226 ibid.), the patron saint of Italy, animals and nature conservation. St Francis is depicted in full figure standing next to individual trees and surrounded by birds.
