Tavannes Watch Co Art Deco sterling silver and enamels pocket watch Switzerland, 1920s - 1930s Height x width x depth : 3.4 x 4.6 x 0.9 cm. Weight : 55.9 g. Sterling silver case with black enamels and side buttons in orange enamel; hidden watch, cream-colored dial with Arabic numerals and silvered hour markers, bearing the inscription "Tavannes - Swiss". Hallmarked inside the case with silver hallmarks of 935/1000 used in Switzerland from 1882 to 1934 and with the inscriptions "Tavannes Watch Co. - Swiss - 825925 - 8671 - Brevete depose - 0.925." Inside the openings, "3671". Tavannes Watch Co., founded in 1891 in Tavannes, Switzerland, was a prominent Swiss watchmaking company known for producing high-quality timepieces. It became renowned for its precision and innovative designs, contributing significantly to the Swiss watch industry. The company operated under various brand names and was known for its mechanical watch movements. Item condition grading: **** good. The case of the clock is in a good state of preservation with the normal wear and defects commensurate with its age and use over time. The watch movement requires a technical service.
