AVEL·LI ARTIS-GENER (1912-2000). Pair of drawings "GIRL IN RED DRESS". Ink and watercolour on paper and poster board. Signed. On the reverse they still have part of the cardboard sheet to which they were attached at the corners. One of them has a small tear on the upper right corner. 26.8 x 23.5 cm; 24.4 x 23 cm (unframed). This lot will not be included in our post auction sale.

Giacomo Puccini Autograph Musical Quotation Signed for 'La fanciulla del West' AMQS by Giacomo Puccini in bold ink on an off-white 6.75 x 5 sheet, signed below by the esteemed composer, "Giacomo Puccini, Paris 1912,” who adds two bars of music from his three-act opera “La fanciulla del West” (The Girl of the West). Archivally double-matted and framed with a photo of Puccini to an overall size of 21.5 x 11.5. In very fine condition. Based on the 1905 play The Girl of the Golden West by the American author David Belasco, La fanciulla del West premiered at the Metropolitan Opera in New York on December 10, 1910. At the time of its debut performance, Puccini declared the work to be the greatest composition of his career as a composer.
